The Nigerian former Aviation Minister, Chief Fani Kayode has said that it is not true that Nnamdi Kanu is safe and well in London as suggested by the former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu.
Kalu said, "...Nnamdi Kanu is where I told you he is; he is in London; he is safe..."
But on his official Twitter handle, Fani Kayode, while reacting to the statement made by Orji Uzor yesterday in Abuja after a private meeting with the former military President, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) at his uphill residence in Minna Niger State, said he disagreed with Kalu.
Femi Fani Kayode wrote,
"Even though we disagree politically Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu and I remain friends. I must however point out the fact that it is not true that Nnamdi Kanu is "safe and well" in London as he has suggested. Nnamdi was abducted by the Nigerian military one year ago and is still missing."
He also wrote,
"U see young Igbo men and women standing in front of military amoured tanks and u call it stupidity. No that is not stupidity:that is how much they hate being called Nigerians. One Nigeria by armoured tanks is slavery.If u want them to drop their agitation treat them with love."
